Kayla Jeanne Neumann

Our little bundle of joy decided to grace us with her presence on her due date :) at 11:32am the 14th. She weighs 7.5 Lbs and is 19.5 inches. She has strawberry blonde ish hair but it's still a little hard to tell and it's curly! I think she looks exactly like her daddy...but you be the judge.

She had muconium all over her from head to toe when she came out and Tim said "Hey, she's just like her dad....she's full of crap!

We are so excited to be parents! Kayla is such a sweet baby girl, when we gave her her first bath in the hospital she was sooo good! She loved having her hair washed!

COMMENTS

Ha! Those of you that know me....this will be no surprise. I was talking to my friend the other day and she said "ya I saw your blog and have made a couple of comments"...this got me thinking. I completely forgot that you could even make comments on blogs! DUH! So, I am just going back now and reading through all of the comments you have all made. Thanks for the kind words and thoughts....sorry I'm a flake and am just reading through them now :)

P.S. She's almost here! Still nameless, but we'll get there.

Almost There!

I am 9 days away from my due date and therefore will not be posting any pictures of me right now :). I have a feeling I will be going over my due date, so really I have no idea how much longer until our little one comes. All I know is that I can't wait to meet her!!! I have our bags packed and most of her room ready. I can't even believe that I am this close to being a mom, it really blows my mind. No matter how hard I try, I can't even begin to comprehend what is about to happen, it just seems so surreal. We were talking the other night and were trying to picture how it will be when we finally get to meet her and neither of us could even come close to imagining it. Of course we will be excited, but what an experience it will be! YAY!

I have a few pics of the nursery so far. It's not done yet, we have some vinyl animals we are going to be putting up on the walls, but so far so good. My step-mom Holly is an amazing artist and she came and painted the tree on the wall for us (we're going for a jungle animal theme). The people I work with are the best and they all pitched in an bought us the glider, Brett and Jen gave us the cute tiger rug. My dad and Holly got us the awesome crib! We are so lucky to have all of these wonderful people in our lives. There is a pic of Daddy and uncle Tyson putting together her crib and even Champers was "helping" by collecting the styrofoam from the crib and "organizing" it in the hall way :)

THE COUNTDOWN

I've heard the last 2 months are the longest....so here we go! I am now 32 weeks and counting! I can't believe it's gone by this fast so far! I don't really feel like I've been pregnant for that long and thank goodness for that.

We still don't have a name for her yet, but I think it will be easier after we see her. One lesson I have learned with names is that you can't let other peoples opinions determine your decision or you would NEVER have a name because there will always be someone that doesn't like the name you choose.

Due to the request of some friends I have included the most recent pics of me and my belly. I just had a doctors appointment today and I'm measuring just right so I'm happy about that.

Sorry my blog is so boring, I wish I was in the mood to entertain you all with clever, witty things to say....but I just don't have the energy . I'm sure some of you know how that is :)

6 Months and Growing

Well, I'm a little over 6 months (26 weeks) now and growing more each week. We still haven't come up with a name for our little one yet but we have some names that we like. The names that Tim likes I don't like and the names I like , he doesn't like :) Eventually we will come up with something. For right now she is just baby girl Neumann. We just got through celebrating Tim's birthday and I managed not to take ANY pictures...duh! We had a party with some friends on Friday night and then Sunday we had a family dinner. We had a great time, I know Tim really appreciated all the time everyone spent in preparing and celebrating with us. Thank you all for making it a great birthday for my baby daddy :)

HUGE blessing in disguise....Tim went down to our "investment" (or lack thereof) property down in Lehi to work on the yard because we thought we had some buyers for it. He found the door unlocked and the oven and dishwasher were stolen!!! We had just taken the refrigerator out a couple weeks before so they only got the other 2 items. Luckily we have insurance on the house and ended up getting a check for both appliances from the insurance company. So in essence that money we got from the appliances will be the only money we make off of this house :) But it couldn't have come at a better time :) I love paying tithing! I only wished we would have left the fridge :)

SURPRISE!

We are soooo excited to be pregnant. We found out a couple of weeks before we left for Hawaii. This is a 12 week pic of our baby! We are due on Dec. 15th and feel so blessed to have this little addition to our family. We find out the sex sometime around the 3rd week in July and we can't wait!!!

HAWAII

We had so much fun! We went snorkeling, Tim and Richael went surfing and kicked butt! We swam with sea turtles and saw the sites!

GOING TO HAWAII

NO WAY! This is what my face looked like (minus the looking like a chimp part)...PURE SHOCK! When Tim told me that we are packing our bags and leaving for Hawaii in 2 and a half weeks!!!

The Story of how he told me:

I got a video in the mail from our friends the Belnap's and I thought hmmm she must be pregnant or something. The package said "open with spouse". So I waited for Tim to get home and I opened it. The disk said "watch together". So we sat down and watched what I thought was just a copy of a video that I made for them that included all of our fun times together , until....it got to the end and said "it's time to write the next chapter for , fun with the Belnap's" and then it said "the question is where?" then all these places poped up "Paris, Las Vegas, Moab, etc" one by one they disappeared until Las Vegas was left.. I yelled " I knew it!" so then I was like "oh thank you honey that is so sweet!" and then something else popped up on the screen that said "not so fast" .."Happy Birthday Linz - From the Belnaps"...then "FORGET VEGAS"..."We're going to HAWAII baby" "Happy Birthday Hun!"

I cried and cried and cried. I guess Tim actually made the DVD and then put it in an envelope with postage on it so that it looked like it had been mailed and put it in the mailbox (I always get the mail). Sneaky, sneaky , sneaky. Anyway, thanks to any of you that helped out and especially thanks to my wonderful husband and the Belnap's for working so hard to make this the best birthday surprise ever!!!!!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Woohoo! The Elders in our ward won the region basketball championship today!! Tim was nominated to be the coach...which basically just means that I get to wash the stinky jerseys :) We had so much fun cheering them on!

MC HAMMER\VANILLA ICE CONCERT

WE HAD SOOOOOO MUCH FUN! We were dancing around and singing at the top of our lungs like we were 12 years old listening to "Ice Ice Baby" and "Can't Touch This" all over again! We met up with my friends from work and their boyfriends. It was way fun! I really liked MC Hammer a lot better than Vanilla....you can only sing "Ice Ice Baby" so many times!

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!

Here are some pics of the people at the concert. A lot of people dressed up in 80's attire and YEP you guessed....the infamous HAMMER PANTS were resurrected. Even the Hammer himself was wearing them!

COWABUNGA!

I thought this was sooooo cute! Tim took Champ to Wheeler Farm (where we had our reception) for a walk and these cows came right over to him. The one of Champ and the black one is my favorite because they are nose to nose. Tim couldn't take the pics fast enough but they kept licking Champ's face and Tim said it was really hard to separate them. Champ probably would have jumped through the fence if Tim didn't have him on a leash! Champ's never been around cows so this was so funny to me!

THE YURT

So my work took us to this place called The Yurt for our work Christmas party. It was so cool. It's up at solitude and you can either cross country ski or snow shoe to it and then they cook your 5 course meal for you in the yurt with you. The only down side was that you had to go to the bathroom in the trees or the stinky out house. I chose the trees:) It was so much fun! I was falling all over the place on those ski's, and so was Tim....and pretty much everyone in our group. It was a lot of Fun! They rented 2 suburbans and of course Tim and the only other LDS guy in our group got to be designated drivers, I think Tim loved driving that huge SUV up there for everyone. We had a great time!
