2012 Andersen Family Reunion

My dad and Holly hosted this years family reunion and we had so much fun! The first day was Friday and Holly put together water baseball where the kids would hit the ball, run from base to base(tubs of water) and then at 3rd she would spray them down with barbasol shaving cream and they would slip n slide into home plate.  It was awesome. Then there was a kiddie pool, bouncy house, volleyball net, croquet, and tether ball...not to mention the awesome food and the outdoor movie on the side of the house the last night we were there. There were also those who braved the 8 mile hike, those that golfed and those that went on a salmon fishing charter.     We had so much fun just catching up with everyone, everything else was a bonus. The only negative I would say is that it was too short! One weekend is not enough:)

Livi and Adri. It's so awesome to me that my cousin Chelsey and I had little girls 3 months apart in age. We grew up together and have always been very close and we are also 3 months apart. I also just noticed how similar their names are, both 4 letters and both ending in i's....we didn't plan that I promise :) I only wished we lived closer so that our girls could grow up as close as we did.

Summer 2012 Recap

We did a lot of fun things this summer that I haven't gotten a chance to blog about, so here is a recap in reverse order...most recent first. The first video here is just one that I took the other day that I thought was cute. KK gets embarrassed now when I take video of her so I had to be sneaky about this one. She's singing "Families can be together forever".

My cutie head KK

We went to the state fair with our friends the Perkins. Biggest pumpkin!!! Capri and KK sitting in front of "bibbidy bobbidy boo!" as KK called it.

Beehive. This was pretty cool, the girls were afraid it would tip over and the bee's would go everywhere. I showed KK this picture and she says "Bees make honey for winnie the poo!"

The BIGGEST cow we have ever seen! As you can see it's back almost was as tall as Tim. Now I know my husband is not the tallest man on earth, but 5'9" is pretty tall for a cow.

KK wouldn't stand next to the cage of the pigs so Tim had to hold her.

Adri loved the piggy's at the fair :)

FUDGE! We got chocolate peanut butter....it was creamy deliciousness

The girls thought this guy was so cool, he made them each their own animal....they were all popped by the time we left.

Ecstatic to be riding a pony at the fair :/

Warming up to the ride :)

Doing the chicken dance at the state fair!

Our butter lover. One time we were sitting down for dinner and we had rolls and butter on the table. She had a roll on her plate and then grabbed a knife and put some butter on it. I though "wow she's going to butter her roll all by herself!" Boy was I wrong. Straight in her mouth it went and she has been a butter monger ever since. I have to hide the butter or she would just eat it by the hand full....barf.

Earth to Kayla.....she looks crazy in this pic. maybe she was on a sugar high from going to her first birthday party. It was for her friend Capri that just lives around the corner.

Playing puppets with socks and clothes with daddy.

Tim smoked some pork shoulder for his birthday dinner.....he loves doing stuff like that. Turns out you can smoke any kind of meat on your gas grill. It turned out amazing! We loved it!!!

Happy Birthday Mr. Neumann Big 32!
I made Tim cupcakes for his "birthday cake". I made him Lemon, Red Velvet, and Funfetti. Then I wrote Happy 32nd Birthday Tim with one letter on each cupcake. After the party we had 6 cupcakes left out of 72!!! AND these were the ones we just happened to have left......32nd RIP....hope it's not an omen!

Matching! It just so happens that I bought this outfit in pink and green for KK when she was little. Then the other day my mom gave us a new outfit for Adri...and guess what? Same one....AND it's an 18 month outfit and it actually fits KK so now they have matching outfits!

Stickers on our face phase...she thinks this is soooo funny. I got her a book from costco that is HUGE and full of a million Tinkerbell stickers so she puts them everywhere.....even champ is victim to the sticker monster sometimes, but he's a good sport.

I went to a baby shower at this HUGE house in Holiday...seriously, gated community, 2 million dollar house at least! They took us on a tour and I couldn't help but take some pictures. This is their "diner" which backs up to their theater.

This was the mural in their play room....which is only a fraction of it....it was beautiful!

She's sitting on the toilet in this picture, but it's so cute...how could I not post it?

I am pretty sure I posted this somewhere....facebook, instagram, probably both...but I love it so I'm posting it here too.

I love that she likes to walk around in my shoes. I remember doing this with my moms shoes when I was little. My moms red heels were my shoes of choice.

The girls painted nails!

Cutie smile face
Cutie smile face with Adri's skirt on her head or "her hat" as she refers to it.

At Toad's by mom's house. Jojo and Kayla must have ridden this merry-go-round 40 times while we were there...not kidding.

Driving with the Jones'

Fell asleep at the pool by Jess's house in her puddle jumper, hence why she looks like a linebacker under her towel.

You would think she would be more excited about the ice cream in front of her. It had been a long day of swimming at the Jones'.

KK in her "swimmy hoot" with May May

Swimming with mom, Jostin, Justina, Jess and her kids and me and the girls @ Cowabunga Bay in Draper. It was way fun!!....
....too much fun. KK fell asleep again while at the pool.

KK got a hold of the camera and wanted to take some pics, hence the finger on the left hand side :)

All my mom's grand kids: top left: Jolie, Macey holding Adri, Kayla - Bottom: Zaydenn (My step brother Joey's little boy) and Connor

Silly cousins!

Fourth of July!!! We went to the parade in Murray and then KK got to walk in the parade with our stake in downtown Salt Lake later on in the month.

My favorite toes this summer - thank you Pinterest!

My favorite e card this summer :) Thank you Pinterest

KK feeding the ducks with Aunt Stina up at my moms

Adri rolls over at 4 months!...now if she could just figure out how to roll back.

The "I hate pooping" phase. Good thing this is over with, what a nightmare!

The "I love Band Aids" phase. No ouchies, just Band Aids...good thing I buy them at the dollar store!

Making cookies! Not just cookies! The BEST chocolate chip cookies ever! I love them, thank you Pinterest!

KK decided that she needed to "feed". She found my pump and then proceeded to show me how to use it.

Adri and cousin Aaron...he was having a rough day.

Sister time! Me and Jess at the Raptors game. They came to visit us while Ryan was in Alaska for a week. We had a great time and then road with them home. We met Tim at our family reunion a week later at my dad's , which worked out perfectly! Below you will see us doing the YMCA while Tim sneakily recorded us!

Lots of sister time this summer!

The splash pad we went to all the time this summer, KK loved it!

The playground next to the splash pad.
More sister time!

Adri was soooo good, she almost slept the whole time. The one picture I got was of course the one time she was crying.

Went boating on Uncle Jay's boat, we had a blast! KK was a little nervous about the tube at first...

...but in the end I think she liked it :)

Kayla helping her dad replace the door frame, she's always such a good helper! Safety First!

Our Cockateil - That's what her daddy calls her because he hair sticks up like this all the time.

Teaching the kids about manners and tea parties at the Princess Festival up at Thanksgiving Point...adorable!

Happy 6th Anniversary!

Rockin the Ropes Course!

The ropes course...or as we called it our "Team building exercise"

The new zip line up at Snowbird
This is Cache or "Cath" as KK calls him. He and his wife Burgundy are in our ward here in Sandy. They just live around the corner. Their daughter Capri is the little one in most of the pics with KK at the zoo and at the state fair. Several Sunday afternoons after church they would invite us and a few other couples from the ward over for popcorn, snowies (they have their own snowie machine and it's awesome!), and good conversation. Cache is Kayla's favorite she adores him. I told her we were going to Capri's birthday party one day (pictured above) and she said "Will Cache be there? I like him, he's such a good guy". Then just now when I showed her this picture, I said "Who is this?" and she said "Me and Cath, I'm sittin with my pal".

Father's Day - Kayla made Tim this pic frame with her hand print and Adri's feet prints on it. He loved it! I also made Tim dinner of his choice...so we had steak of course, homemade texas roadhouse rolls with cinnamon butter, garlic mashed potatoes and frozen strawberry margarita pie for dessert....yum! Although he made his own mashed potatoes because he's much better at mashed potatoes than I am.
Mother's Day - Tim made me the most amazing dinner ever. Marinated pork tenderloin with asparagus and twice baked potatoes with all the brownies and ice cream I could handle for dessert...it was awesome!!!
